I have now been shooting weddings professionally for over a decade now with my own unique fly on the wall style of capturing those special moments in an unobtrusive and friendly way. No prompting, posing, directing or anything like that.

You can view my wedding portfolio to see some of my favourite images and my portfolio is constantly changing and evolving.

Although I am based in the historic city of Winchester, I shoot weddings right across the UK and destination weddings as well.

As well as shooting weddings and lifestyle portraits, I also undertake piloted aerial work using the latest DJI Inspire Pro drone capturing 4K video and still photography. I hold a PfCO from the CAA to fly commercially. I also shoot corporate portraiture and architecture / interiors and more. You can view some work by visiting my other website Drone My Business.

My approach

My approach to taking picture at weddings is to document and tell the story of the day as it unfolds through images that you can cherish, fall in love with and remind you of your wedding day.

Wedding photojournalism, also known as documentary wedding photography and reportage wedding photography is the art of story telling through pictures. Its not easy to do well and you will see a lot of wedding photographers declaring themselves "documentary wedding photographers" but their websites are full of posed images with the odd candid picture thrown in for good measure.

I love to roam around a wedding capturing those unforgettable moments that happen in a flash - documenting  a wedding is all about capturing the moment and passion of the day.

All weddings do however have some formal requirements and that's fine, but I like to keep them to a minimum to stop the momentum of the day flowing.

A special time of the wedding day for me is when I get an opportunity to spend a small amount of time with the bride and groom to get some beautiful bridal portraits. Although the majority of the day is shot in a candid way, getting some wow shots is also a must. The best time to take these pictures, in the height of summer with long evenings is just after the speeches have finished. With the bride and groom relaxed without the pressure of the day , this can make for some fabulous images. It only has to last 15 minutes but these pictures will be treasured for a lifetime and become a family hareloom.

My fees

Your wedding is probably one of the most important days of your life. You invest a lot of time and money into this day that you have been planning for months or perhaps even years. When the flowers have wilted, the champagne has been drunk and the cake has been enjoyed, you will have the images to look back on.

Each wedding gets 100% of my time and attention. I do not shoot weddings just to supplement another income wedding photography is my profession and as such you must only expect professional results. I do get a lot of interest please contact me for available dates.

I'm aware that pricing for wedding photography may appear to be one of life's little mysteries but a lot of time pre and post wedding goes into offering the best possible service and of course pictures!
